Happy Monday to you all! Even though it’s Monday, I’m looking forward to a day off in the middle of the week. While I’m very thankful to have a day off, I’m even more thankful to the men and women who have served (and are serving) this great nation to keep us safe and free. We live near Eglin Air Force Base, which is the nation’s largest air force base. Living in a military community gives us many chances to pay tribute to those who put their lives on the line for us. THANK YOU, VETERANS!
Ok, so I know I’m not the only one who had loads of candy left after Halloween, right?? We only had about 8 trick-or-treaters come by, so I was left with a dangerous amount of chocolate on hand. To get rid of it, I used the Duke’s mom’s incredible brownie recipe. There’s no rhyme or reason to this recipe…you basically dump it all together. What’s better than home made brownies? Home made brownies stuffed with chocolate candy! This recipe is incredibly rich and decadent, so it would be perfect for the holidays. After all, everyone knows that calories don’t count during the holidays.

Chocolate Candy Bar Stuffed Brownies
Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- ½ cup cocoa
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 ½ cups flour
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 4 each, fun size Snickers and Milky Way, chopped
- 8 fun size Butterfinger, crushed
- 10 mini Reece’s cups, cut in half
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 and spray a 9×13 pan with cooking spray.
- In a large microwave safe bowl, melt butter. Once melted, stir (don’t beat…just use a fork or spoon) in the cocoa and sugar. Stir in eggs, one at a time, then add flour, salt and vanilla. Batter should be very thick.
- Once all ingredients are well combined, stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour half of batter into the prepared dish. Top evenly with Snickers, Milky Way and Butterfinger candies. Pour remaining batter on top. Lightly swirl batter over candies.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven, and cool for 10 minutes before topping with Reece’s. Cool completely before cutting.
