Morning, friends! Can I just say, TGIF!!!!! I am so very happy that it is finally Friday. Even though I had a three-day weekend, this has been one loooooong week. I did, however, receive two fun packages in the mail this week. Who doesn’t love coming home to a box on the front steps with their name on it?? I know I do.
The first was the granola I created from Mix My Granola. Have you seen this site? You create your own specialized granola, from start to finish.

You even name your granola whatever you’d like. Of course, I went with the royal name.

There are a ton of “mix ins” to choose from, but I chose the organic granola with dried apricots, dried strawberries, organic flax seed, roasted almonds and oatbran flakes mixed in. YUM!!

As soon as I got home and saw the package at the door, I knew I had to sample it. I’d been waiting for its arrival all week, after all. I had a serving on top of a scoop of Greek yogurt.
The flavors I chose were great, but I wish it had more dried fruit in it. This stuff doesn’t come cheap, so they really should give me my money’s worth! The nice thing is that they completely customize your nutrition label based on what you ordered. This was great, because I forgot what I chose to mix into my granola!

All in all, I’m pretty pleased with my first Mix My Granola experience. Since you can completely customize your order, a tube of granola would make a great gift! You can even mix in gummy bears, animal crackers and candy corn. Not sure that’s what makes up a well-balanced breakfast, though.
So, my second package of the week was from my dear friend Page. Here is Page (on the left) with my friend Elizabeth at the brunch I threw for my bridesmaids last year.

Aren’t they just two of the cutest girls you ever did see?? I have such great friends! Anyway, Page’s mom is very crafty, and recently she’s started “blinging” any and everything she can. Along with Page’s aunt, Laura, and another friend of theirs, these ladies make adorable pins with initials, sorority letters, company logos, etc. Look how precious this pin is:

It’s my formal monogram. Us Southern girls LOVE our monogram on everything. Bath towels, luggage, car decals…I mean everything. Isn’t this pin adorable?? She sent two pins, and here’s the other.

The pins will be perfect for my navy school blazer. Their company is called Blingers of Tampa, and they’re located in Tampa, FL. They can do custom designs, too, so if you need a little bling in your life, visit the site. I just couldn’t get over those precious pins. Thanks so much, Page and Ms. Dinah!!!
Alright, I’m off to my last day of work before the dreaded FTCE—you know, the test I’ve been studying for since forever! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE wish me luck. Talk soon! The Duchess
