My Sweet Sugar,
It’s incredible to think that an entire year has past since you were born. 12 months, 52 weeks, 366 days have come and gone since you were first put in my arms on that hot July morning. I’ve spent every single moment loving you ever since.
In some ways it seems like just yesterday that you were born and in other ways it feels like you’ve been in our lives forever. It’s hard to imagine our lives before you graced us with your presence.
You are full of life and find joy in the tiniest of things. I love seeing this great big world through your eyes. You spend most of your time smiling, laughing and babbling about this or that. You love your mommy and daddy and it makes us so happy that you light up when you see us. We feel the exact same way.
You are such a happy and content baby. You hardly ever fuss, no matter if you’re teething or not feeling well. You’re very calm and cautious. You are quite the little lady, though you can’t stand wearing bows or headbands.
I could write an entire book about the things I love about you. I love your six-toothed smile. I love your icy blue eyes. I love the way you cuddle up next to me when you’ve got Lovey in your arms. I love the way you squeal and say Dada when your daddy gets home. I love that you love me. I love being your mom.
I pray for many more healthy and happy years for you, sweet girl. You deserve every blessing this world has to offer and I can’t wait to watch you grow and discover them all.
Happy 1st Birthday, Julia. We love you to the moon and back.

I started reading your blog last summer. In fact the first entry I read was your 37 week update right before you had Julia. I was about 5 months pregnant at the time & I can’t believe how fast this past year has gone by. I just cried reading this update b/c if Miss Julia just hit one I know my Ellie is going to be there in the blink of an eye! Can’t wait to see party pictures!
