You’re probably not dying to know the details of my second pregnancy. You’re probably nosy and just want to know! Am I right or am I right?
Well, I’d hate to disappoint, so without further adieu, here are the deets:
Due date: March 19, 2013
How far along? 13 weeks tomorrow
How far apart will the babies be? They’ll be about 20 months apart.
Any pregnancy symptoms? I felt pretty queasy for the first 6 or 8 weeks. Then I came down with the stomach flu which was AWFUL. I lost 2 lbs that month. I was never sick at all with Julia, so maybe it’s a boy? Who knows. Feeling much better now! Other than that I’m just so incredibly tired.
Cravings? Not really, I’m just eating everything in site these days. Most of my plates have been filled with avocados, tomatoes and anything sweet.
Were you trying? None of your business! Just kidding- if you must know, yes we were “trying” as in we were ready to be pregnant any ole time. We wanted the babies to be 18-24 months apart, and that’s what we’ll get! We feel very blessed.
Are you still working out? You bet. I manage to go to the gym at least 4 times each week. I’m still taking 1 Body Pump and 1 Zumba class each week and doing the cardio machines the other days. I’m still running (a little), but probably won’t keep it up much longer.
Anything else we need to know? I found out I have MTHFR. Ever heard of it? Probably not. Basically my body can’t absorb folic acid very well, which is an essential nutrient that babies need in order to develop. My doctor prescribed me a very high dose of B12 and B6 along with folic acid (on top of my prenatal). Unfortunately it makes me very tired. He thinks MTHFR is probably what led to my HELLP syndrome with Julia. Now that he’s diagnosed a problem (and treating it), we’re hoping to avoid any issues this go-round.
Am I missing any important info?
We appreciate all of your kind words regarding this second pregnancy. We are thrilled to be adding to our family and can’t wait to hold this sweet blessing in a few months’ time. Thank you for your continued prayers. It means the world to us!

Yay sweet baby! And you are a rock star for doing Zumba. I can’t even think about being that coordinated, let alone while pregnant!

You know I’ve been waiting for details! I love being nosy! …um, I mean in the know.
Will you find out the sex? Any names in the running yet? Are you more relaxed/more nervous about the pregnancy this go around?
I’ll save my other questions for another day

Congrats!!!! I had HELLP with my first girl and had an emergency Csection at 32 weeks. She was small but had no complications. I just had my second girl in June. No HELLP. Yay!!! My doc supplemented me with Vit D3. Good luck!

They didn’t diagnose my HELLP until after Julia was born! I had no symptoms of preeclampsia until 38 weeks, thank goodness. Praying I can carry this one to full term, too, with no complications. I’m so happy to hear that your second pregnancy was easier and you have 2 healthy girls!
